The Student Health Service at CUMC offers a comprehensive health care program which joins a wide range of onsite services with the Student Health Insurance Plan. The insurance plan, administered by Chickering and underwritten by Aetna, provides the international specialist, diagnostic and hospitalization resources of the entire Aetna network. Visit http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/student/health/insurance/overview.html for information on requirements, cost, coverage, waivers, etc. All full-time students are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Service and the Student Health Insurance Plan. Part-time students are encouraged, but not required to enroll during the open enrollment period (August 17 - September 30) annually.
We are committed to advancing the health of each student and to promoting a healthy campus community through our goals of caring, healing, and educating. We seek to deliver care that is compassionate, informed, confidential, and cost-effective.
Your first encounter with us, will be meeting your pre-registration health and immunization requirements outlined in the Pre-Registration Brochure that was highlited (through emails to students) on the Mailman School website (and can be downloaded from our website).
