Information Commons (IC) - soon to be called "CUMC IT Service Desk"

The Information Commons (IC) is the main technical support help desk for faculty, staff and students at the Columbia University Medical Center campus. We are located on the 2nd floor of the Health Sciences Library and provide free first level troubleshooting for accounts, programs and systems at CUMC.

Computer Labs and Classrooms

CUMC IT and the Information Commons manage labs, classrooms and computing clusters at the CUMC campus. The primary locations are on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Health Sciences Library (http://library.cpmc.columbia.edu/hsl/)and the Presbyterian Hospital Student Computing Lab on the 17th floor. The computers are:
- Available on a first come, first served basis
- All connected to CUMC's high speed network and able to access the Internet
- All connected to nearby laser jet printers via the printing system
- Updated with current antivirus and antispyware programs.

Medical Center students have a semester allocation of 700 free pages for fall/spring and 200 for summer. IC Help Desk primary service location is on the second floor of the Hammer Health Sciences Library.
